Relaxing Kit

In modern life a lot is said and experience about stress. Therefore a kit with elements that can produce relaxation and peacefulness, with a cute packing, can be a nice gift. Also can be very useful to have it at home, as a “first aid stress kit”. More so because when I am anxious or stress, my mind forgets many items that can help me go through the moment. Therefore having the kit, it can remind me and show me, simple, helpful and practical elements.

Here I list some of those elements, and the idea is that you make your own kit with the ones that has a relaxing effect for you.
♥    Candles: a light candle reminds me of a love connection, something lovely, a lovely moment… recalls praying and

meditation events. Have heard that depending on their color, candles can contribute to generate certain atmospheres. I believe that a candle of my favorite color or with a color that can be getting my attention, will have a positive input in my emotional stage. Which color of candle invites you to relaxation? ________________
♥    Candle stick or candle holders
♥    Essential oils scents: the scent of a cup of coffee immediately transports me to “familiarity”, coziness; there are essential oils that generates quietness as lavender, sandal, peach, cedar and others. These scents will spread in the environment, putting a few drops over a candle or in a cauldron. Which smell relaxes you? ___________________
♥    Cauldron
♥    Bath soap with aromatic essences, or a packet of bath salts: when I feel overwhelmed a hot shower produce a great calming effect, as well as a bath with candles, bath salts and relaxing scents.
♥    Oil for massages: a good relaxing massage can be therapeutic! Using diluted essential oils of cinnamon, bergamot and geranium will have a calming effect. If there is no one to make the massage, is valid to massage ourselves on the feet, legs, arms. More so, is a nice way to express caring to ourselves!
♥    Relaxing music CD: in my case listening to nature sounds as water, dolphins and birds has a strong calming effect; also Gregorian chants or music that I heard in a French Monastery named “Taize”, is super for this purpose. The physical CD can be replaced by a small card listing the relaxing music, which reminds me this aid, whenever I use/check the kit. Which music relaxes you? ____________________
♥    Relaxing drinks or herbal teas: there are herbs who has a calming effect as chamomile, and I read there are some relaxing drinks in the market (opposite to the energy drinks), but don’t know them yet. Which teas or herbs slow you down? _________________
♥    Rescue remedy – Bach flower therapy: in my case this droplets gives me a soothing and calming effect, and I read they are made of 5 flower essences. Five drops under the tongue creates a complete difference in my mood.   For me, they are very powerful and helpful because due to medical issues I can’t take any tranquilizer medicine.
♥    Prayer Beads: As a Catholic “Rosary”, the Islamic prayer beads “Misbaha”, the Hindus “Japa Mala”, the Buddhist “Mala”, the prayer rope made with knots “Knotted Rosary” (used for the “Jesus Prayer” beautiful!). Many years ago I discovered how the Catholic Rosary gave me a calming effect, and nowadays just holding the Rosary in my hands can produce that effect in me, even if I don’t have the time to pray the Rosary; because it tunes me with praying and the spiritual connection with Mother Mary.
For those who don’t want religious elements, the Greek “Komboloi” use for relaxation purposes, is an option. A beads string to use while repeating any sentence that produce quietness, will do. I did the following one for myself with alphabet beads and some space between them to make it smoother while passing the beads in my hand. Which sentence generates stillness in you? ____________________________________

♥    Breathing exercises: include in the kit a written card describing breathing abdominal exercises; which practice in a simple way can slow you down very quickly.Abdominal breathing: put the hands over the abdomen and inspire through the nostrils trying to inflate the belly, as if it will had a ball. Inhalation should be continuous and the entire chest cavity from the diaphragm to the highest point of the chest, must dilated.  Hold your breath for a few seconds. Exhale very slowly keeping firmly the chest, entering the abdomen and slightly raising it, as the air comes out from the lungs. Others say that the air should be hard and completely expelled, by the mouth.  It is recommended to initially practice in front of a mirror.

Another exercise taught to me recently is: rise and fall strong and quickly your arms, in sync with your breathing; when lifting inspire and when dropping expel all the air.
♥    A craft: or an activity that will “shout up” your mind can have a wonderful calming effect. In my case the embroidery, weaving or coloring mandalas generates wealth ness because it tunes my mind with something else than the stress. Include in the kit a written card to remind you which craft works good with you. Which craft relaxes you? ________________________
♥    A Prayer: a written prayer that connects me with the unconditional love of God is for me the star element of the kit. Can also be a card with a Bible, a philosophical or spiritual reference. Which prayer encourages and comforts you? _________________

♥    Cerebral Exercises: a friend taught me that they help against emotional stress; make a card relating some, such as:
Take a blank sheet of paper, fold it in half
1. Draw two continuous ovals several times with the left hand (if you're right-handed)
2. Draw two continuous ovals several times in a row, with both hands simultaneously
3. Draw the same figure with both hands simultaneously
4. Write your name with both hands simultaneously
♥    Index card: which lists all the items from the kit, and will remind me certain elements that I may not have inside the kit; in my case the Catholic Rosary I have beside my bed. Another possibility is to have single cards stating an element that is not included in the kit, for example the relaxing music. This cards have a reminding purpose.

Suggestions to sell the kits in shops:
♥    The kit already assembled
♥    Display it as in a “supermarket” where the elements are sold separately with simple instructions and the customer choose each item one by one, so he sets the kit according to his preferences. For example candles of different colors, essential oils from several scents, beads to make their own collar, etc etc.

Great if you share here new products and variations from the ones presented here.
Have a nice day!
