For the kind donations, the system will keep updated the foundations requirements; these aids maybe one-time or recurring for a period of time. For example, at a supermarket having the gift vouchers “Let’s Share”, the donor can choose the NGO call “Viejitos”, which supports the elderly people; then he selects 2 pounds of chocolate drink, 1 pound of a nice white cheese, and 2 dozen of donuts…. next he define the starting, ending, and periodicity as, 15th of July till 15th of May, delivering every 2 month…. and every time the Foundation “Viejitos” receive the contribution,
they send a thankful card to the donor or whomever he specifies.
There are many NGO’s and non-profit organizations that don’t have the administrative capacity to implement and keep the donation system by internet, neither by bonus. This scheme could be especially useful for them.
“Gift Certificates - Let’s Share” will keep updated the database regarding to every certified foundation, and will verify that the donations done through Supermarkets, Chain Stores, Gas Stations, etc arrive to its destiny. Also will manage the “Let’s Share” donations website. Will feature marketing and advertising experts, whom will design the complement cards for the donations, in order to encourage and stimulate the contributions.
It would be nice to expand the concept of donations as “gift vouchers” (like the popular book or CD’s present certificates)…. so many times we don’t know what gift to choose for someone; this present not only will be special, but very lovely. These gift vouchers will be sold at chain stores, supermarkets, gas stations or by the website "Gift Certificates – Let’s Share"; and the invoice will have already the necessary information to allow tax exemptions.... the value of the donation can start from small very amounts (USD 5.oo) till whatever the donor decides ... some examples as:• Gift voucher for a children party
• Wedding gift voucher
• First Communion gift voucher
• Condolence voucher
• Christmas gift voucher, or Mother’s day, or anniversaries
• Thanking God voucher for an answered prayer, or just for love.
Repeating the contribution has more chances, if the donor gets the appropriated feedback,
enhancing the wellness generated by the donation. At a company I was working many years ago, once was decided that instead of buying expensive Christmas presents for the customers, that money will be donated to a foundation for disable children. The organization did a beautiful letter with the photo of a sweet girl in her wheelchair, smiling and very grateful for the contribution received on behalf of our customers. This letter was sent to all of our clients complemented by chocolates with the logo of our company; chocolates produced by an institution for children with brain paralysis. The thanks received were overwhelming…. never before we received such grateful expressions… and more important than the contribution itself, was the nice emotion that arose in us and in our customers… therefore is very important that the card along with the contribution, will achieve that the heart from the donor, and the gift recipient, will say, "Yes! What a great gift! "...The gift certificates can be:
• Simple: will be a single card or letter mentioning who is the donor, who is and what was received by the beneficiary.
• Certificates with a small gift: will be the card or letter as above, along with a symbolic gift; which can be a keychain, a pen with some emotional slogan, chocolates with the logo of the foundation that received the donation, a whistle to hang with the keys, etc.
The participants at each donation will be:
• Donor: who gives the contribution whether as money or kind
• Receiving Foundation: whom receives the donation and therefore issues the certificate
• Gift Certificate Receiver: person who receives the gift.
• Company supplying the kind donation: for example the supermarket that provides the products.
• NGO "Gift Certificates – Let’s Share" which preferably will not manage money, but will coordinate and verify that the whole operation will succeed.
Promoting and simplifying the action of giving, may increase the awareness about caring, towards other human beings… mainly the stunning emotion produced by "giving"....
Have a nice day!!
